Frequently Asked Questions

  • We understand Womanhood to be both a cultural and biological experience. We celebrate, explore, and educate about the biological roles and rhythms inherent to being female - that we then embody in our expression of Womanhood. Our work lies at the intersection of female biology and feminine expression. The experience of living in a female body is central to the festival experience.

Our programming centers on education specific to the female anatomy and biology, tending to the cyclical nature that flows through the biological blueprint of our cellular being; from birth, through puberty, and into the wise Grandmother stage. We learn about our sacred cervix, study our monthly blood, and explore how to work with it to live the most fulfilled lives we can. We dive into the energetics of our womb and the physiology of birth, pregnancy, and childbirth loss. We also honor the unique experiences of those who were socialized as female, navigating societal expectations and challenges that have shaped our journeys.

We respectfully and lawfully abide by Canadian Human Rights Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. H-6).
